Orange Coconut Cream Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 18.25-ounce package yellow cake mix
  • 2/3 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup quick-cooking oats, uncooked
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 14-ounce can fat free sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange zest
  • 3/4 cup shredded coconut
  • 3/4 cup M&M’S® MINIS® Milk Chocolate Candies

Directions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • 2. Lightly grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; set aside.
  • 3. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, nuts, oats, butter and egg until ingredients are thoroughly moistened and mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • 4. Reserve 1 cup mixture.
  • 5. Firmly press remaining mixture into bottom of prepared baking pan; bake 10 minutes.
  • 6. Combine sweetened condensed milk and orange zest; spread over baked base.
  • 7. Combine reserved crumb mixture; coconut and M&M’S® MINIS® Milk Chocolate Candies;
  • 8. Sprinkle evenly over sweetened condensed milk mixture and press in lightly.
  • 9. Continue baking 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 10. Cool completely; cut into 32 bars.
  • 11. Store in tightly covered container.
