Red’s Spring Basket
Create a wonderful way to celebrate springtime. This basket is a beautiful gift idea for friends.
Prep time: 2 weeks min.

What you'll need:
- STARBURST® Brand Jellybeans Filled Eggs
- M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies Filled Eggs
- Potting soil
- Grass or wheat seed
- Plastic or metal pan
- Decorative ribbon
- Large wicker basket
- Plastic wrap and scissors
What to do:
- Line the wicker basket with several layers of plastic wrap.
- Fill with potting soil to 1-1/2 inches from top of basket.
- Sprinkle grass or wheat seed on top of soil.
- Set the basket in a large pan and water the soil until damp.
- Place the pan on a sunny window ledge and water frequently over a two-week period.
- Trim grass with scissors (if desired) and gently place the STARBURST® Brand Jellybeans Filled Eggs and M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candy Filled Eggs in the grass. Decorate basket with a ribbon as a final touch.
Last minute alternative: You can use sod in place of seeds. After completing steps 1 and 2 above, cut the sod to the size of your basket and set in place. You can find sod at your local garden center.
